Benildo "Ben" Aragón, age 83, was embraced by the Lord and taken to Eternal Life on Thursday, August 30, 2012.
Benildo was born in North San Ysidro, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM.
Ben enjoyed playing his guitar and harmonica, he loved horses and singing, play bingo and watch pro-wrestling on tv.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Antonia Aragón, two children, Bernadette Aragón and Larry Benedict Aragón and two grandchildren, Nash and Bernadette Martínez.
Ben is survived by his children, Richard Aragón and his wife, Yolanda, Tonnie Sánchez, Peggy Martínez and her husband, Phillip, Benjamin Aragón and his wife, Geri, Alvin Aragón and his wife, Dolly and Dyan Baca and her husband, Angelo, 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Ben is also survived by his siblings, Estella Gómez, Patsy Looney, Nancy Lucero, Dilia (Joe) Moya, Eleanor (Erminio) Bustillos and Nicasio "Nick" (Carol) Aragón, other numerous relatives and friends. Ben will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, on Fourth Street and Mildred. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shannon Aragón, Luciano Aragón, Lorenzo Aragón, Tony Gómez, Joseph Lonney and Joey Davison.
