Funeral services for A. Delos Persons, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Moore, 422 Main Street, on Monday evening, were held from that home Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock with Dr. J. W. Flynn of the First Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Interment was in Glenwood cemetery.
The remarks of Dr. Flynn were breif and consoling to the family. Many beautiful flowers were sent for the service by relaticves and friends, and by the Maintenance of Way department of the D. & H. company. The bearers wre A.J. Birdsall, Lee Jenks, George Sillimand and William McLean.
Among those from out of the city in attendance at the funeral were Harris L Cooke, Mrs. Charles Churchill, Mrs. Emily Shepard and John Churchill of Walton and Mr. and Mrs. A. Scott and Elizabeth Scott of Cooperstown. [Published in "The Otsego Farmer" - Source not dated]
