DANIEL RAYMOND WINTERS, age 38, was born June 8, 1909, and died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7th. He is survived by his widow, Lillie (GRAYSON) WINTERS; three sons, Edward age 12, Franklin age 9, and Arnold age 4; two brothers, Clate and Dan WINTERS; and one sisters, Laura McELYEA of Abingdon, Va. He had been ill for nine months and 25 days.

The funeral was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Shingletown church, with Rev. A. E. Browne and Rev. Sam Winters in charge. Burial was in Owens Cemetery, Mountain City.
