Funeral services for Frank M. Maryott of 324 Church Street of Westfield, PA, was held to at 11 am at St. John's Episcopal Church in Westfield, PA. The Rev William Harris officiated and burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Towanda.
Mr. Maryott, a prominent Tioga County resident and re-tired chairman of the Board of Commonwealth Bank and Trust Company died Friday in Arnot-Ogden Hospital in Elmira, NY following a short illness. He was 74 and had resided in Westfield for the past several years.
Mr. Maryott was born in Towanda June 23, 1896, the son of Clifford and Nancy Maryott. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Towanda, a retired chairman of the board of directors of the Commonwealth Bank and Trust, a member of the board of directors of the Cowanesque Valley Recreation, an executive board member of the Steuben Area Council of Boy Scouts of America.
Also he was a veteran of World War I, an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, a member of the vestry of St. John's Episcopal Church, a senior warden of the church and a member of the Williamsport Consistory.
Survivors include his wife Frances Prince Maryott; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Nancy) Snyder of Indianapolis, Ind., a brother, George Maryott of Ardmore, PA, a sister, Mrs. Harry J. (Florence) VanAuken of Elmira, one grandson, David Snyder.
The family requests that those who wish to make memorial donations may do so to the trust fund of the Steuben Area Boy Scouts of America.
