Mr. John Frank Lineberry, 88, of East Bend, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2005. He was born in Yadkin County on Aug. 2, 1917, to Dot Buxton and Myrtle Sears Lineberry. Mr. Lineberry was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ada Hicks Lineberry; a grandson, Johnny Lineberry; four sisters, Callie Logan, Geneva Davis, Lola Marier, and Pauline Shaffer, and three brothers, Leak Lineberry, Beauty Lineberry, and Lawrence Lineberry.

Surviving are two sons, Steven G. (Linda) Lineberry and Stanley R. (Dusty) Lineberry, both of East Bend; five grandchildren, Dawn (Andy) Doss, Amber Lineberry, Kimberly (eny) Davis, Conrad Lineberry, and Chad Lineberry; and four great-grandchildren, Bryson Doss, Brandon Doss, Josh Bowman, and Kristen Davis.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, Dec. 22, at Huff Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ottis Hurst and the Rev. Bobby Watts officiating. Burial followed in Mount Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Yadkin Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 10346.
