THOMPSON, Foy - Foy Thompson, 82, of Peachtree Corners, GA, died August 14, 2012. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16th, at Dunwoody Baptist Church. Burial will follow at North Atlanta Memorial Park in Doraville. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15th, at the funeral home. Mr. Thompson retired from GE Capital as the Vice President of Leasing. He was a very active member of Dunwoody Baptist Church, enjoyed golf and hunting with his two sons, was a former coach and president of Murphy Candler Little League and served on the board of the Atlanta Colts. He is survived by his wife, Betty Thompson of Peachtree Corners; sons and daughters-in-law, Skeeter & Tonya Thompson of Newnan and Jon & Denise Thompson of Suwanee; brother and sister-in-law, Dewitt & Olene Thompson of Alma; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn Moulder of Doraville, Frances & Joe Anthony of Grayson, and Martha & Tommy Sorrells of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Amanda Thompson, Ashton Thompson, Hunter Thompson and Lindsey Thompson; mother-in-law, Inez Lawson of Peachtree Corners; sister-in-law, Lynn & Bob Karantz of Westcliff, CO; and several nieces and nephews.
