Alice B. Tumey, 91, of Ewing, passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg.
Ms. Tumey was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers and her birds.
Alice B. was born Dec. 12, 1920, to the late Jake and Kate Bryant Hartley in Fleming County.
Alice B. is survived by five children, William Tumey, Sue Tumey, Geneva (Estill) Helpenstine and Barry Tumey, all of Ewing, and Donna (Jeff) Bowles of Sharpsburg. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Penny (Kenny) Arnett, Stephanie (Brad) Willoughby, Tina (Dewayne) Price, Tony (Kelly) Helpenstine, Angel (Manuel) Hunt, Dewayne Tumey, David (Jessica) Tumey, Barry (Bonnie) Tumey, Michael (Lisa) Tumey, Bradley Tumey and Jeffery Bowles; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Elizabeth Craig of Robertson County.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Franklin Tumey; a granddaughter, Terra Sue Tumey; five brothers and a sister.
Services were held at 2:00p.m., Monday, August 13, 2012 at Price Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Greg Grimes officiated and interment was in the Elizaville Cemetery.
