Died between 1850-1860. Sophia Shunk is buried in Sec.C lot 137-138. I believe Simon is in one of the 2 plots mentioned for Sophia. There are no stones on site. Sophia is the 2nd wife to Simon. Proof of a 2nd marriage can be found on census records and children of Simon Shunk Jr. including Martha Shunk Shannon's widows pension record were she once lived in Mason Co., Illinois with Rev. Michael Shunk (half brother) and his son John. Mary Shunk Leclere's sons biography William LeClere mention mother was Mary son of Simon Shunk. George Shunk and Mary LeClere are also in Sec.C George Sec C 127 with son Philip Theodore. Mary LeClere across from him with spouse Louis LeClere.
