W.J. Cline, a successful farmer of Hill County, received a limited education and at the age of 21 years, he engaged in farming at Tuscaloosa County, where he remained until 1876. In 1876, he came to Texas, locating first at Hill County, where he bought a farm of 250 acres, which contained a box house and 40 fences acres.
In November 1871, Mr. Cline married Celestia H. Davis of Alabama. Mr. and Mrs. Cline are the parents of 11 children:
