Walter "Andy" Anderson, Jr., 90, of New Middletown, died Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon. He was born October 10, 1921, in Harrison County, to the late Walter Sr. and Elizabeth M. Emily Anderson. He was retired from E.H. Hughes Construction Company in Clarksville, was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #631 in New Albany, the Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ and was an army veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Wilma L. Rowe Anderson; his sons, Roger and Mark Anderson; his daughter, Linda Anderson-Summers; his brothers, Lloyd, Joe and Clifford Anderson and his sisters, Erma Alexander, Sarah Paris, Louise Albin and Elizabeth Anderson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2012, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 9:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to New Middletown United Methodist Church.
