Grampa started his Hardware Store career in Ogden, working as a young man for Lowes. He eventually moved to Berkeley, CA where he opened the 'Bartlett Hardware' store, on Telegraph Avenue. He retired to Los Altos, CA. He loved making the yard and garden look nice - with rose trees, wisteria and each spring he planted sweet peas, ranunculas and anemones. We planted chrysanthemums for the fall. He took us to the movies and was fun to be with!
