Doris Morton

Funeral services for Doris Morton will be conducted Tuesday, January 7th at 10:30 a.m. from the Hammon Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery under the direction of the MArtin Funeral Home.

Doris Morton, 76, of Hammon went to be with the Lord on January 4, 1997, in Hammon where she attended school and lived her entire life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and great grandmother who had great pride in her family. She was always a loyal friend, tireless worker, and supporter of her community. She married Orvil W. Morton on September 29, 1940 who preceded her in death January 14, 1995. To this union was born two sons; Gerald E. Morton who resides with his wife Sondra in Oklahoma City, OK and Terry G. Morton who resides with his wife Diane in Hammon. She had five grandchildren; Jeff Morton and his wife Mindy of Cheyenne, Krista Wise and her husband David of Houston, TX, Eric Morton of Norman, Jana Morton of Hammon and Ensign Jason Morton of U.S. Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi, TX and two great grandchildren, Tave Christian Wise of Houston and Abigail Nicole Morton of Cheyenne.

She is survived by a sister, Theola Canterberry and her husband Murl of Ellensburg, WA, a sister-in-law, Reece Caster of El Reno and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Morton and his wife Jean of Oklahoma City; many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by two sister; Opal Gray and Jewel Morrow and three brothers, Rodney Caster, Troy Caster and Merrill Caster.
