Mr. Laughman was born March 14, 1940, in Hanover, the son of Ruth I. (Baker) Laughman of Hanover and the late Walter J. Laughman.
Mr. Laughman was a 1959 graduate of New Oxford High School and was a member of the West York congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He retired in 1995 as a truck driver with L & H Trucking in Hanover.
In addition to his mother and wife, Mr. Laughman leaves one son, Brooks E. Laughman of York; five daughters, Michele L. Johnson of York, Tammy L. Pearce of Whitehall, MD, Crystal A. Laughman of York, Rabecca S. Laughman of Baltimore and Malinda N. Cline of Tallahassee, FL; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six brothers, Kenneth Laughman of York, Ronald Laughman, James Laughman, Wayne Laughman, Larry Laughman and Jerry Laughman, all of Hanover; and three sisters, Gloria Spangler of East Berlin, Cindy Garcia and Deborah Landeverve, both of Hanover.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m., September 8, 2012, at the West York Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, York, with Elder Bruce Kovalchick officiating. A visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall. Private burial will be at Mummert's Meeting House Cemetery, East Berlin.
