LILLIAN BOWEN
LEADMINE, Wis. - Lillian Bowen, 79, of Leadmine, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home, Cuba City.

Services will be at Primitive Methodist Church, Leadmine, with the Rev. Russell Masartis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Casey Funeral Home, Benton, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on May 17, 1918, in Dubuque, daughter of Clarence and Irene (Greenwood) Harkey.

She was a member of Primitive Methodist Church, Leadmine, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years.

Surviving are five daughters, Chris (Mark) Roling, Darlene Wilson and Shirley Wirer, Kathy Jones, and Carol Lorenz; three sons, Fred Cole Jr., Wayne (Cheryl) Cole, and Steve (Kathie) Cole; 34 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Kiefer; and a brother, Leroy Harkey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Bowen, on Dec. 26, 1989; a son, Jerry Cole; and two brothers, Ray Harkey and Donald Harkey.
