Brett L. Arnold, 48, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Enid, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City. Burial will be held at a later date in Salina, Kan. Arrangements by John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, Okla. Brett was born Dec. 13, 1963, in Salina, Kan. Brett was born Dec. 13, 1963, in Salina, Kan. He is survived by his father, John Arnold of Enid; mother, Jean Arnold of Oklahoma City; brother, Bart Arnold and wife Dawn of Enid; and niece, Brittany. Brett was a staff sergeant in the Army National Guard, retiring after 21 years of service. He was deployed to Iraq from 2005-2006, and a member of the Honor Guard. He graduated from Enid High School in 1982 and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Phillips University. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
