Patricia A. Zabolotny Carr, 48, of Grant Town passed away on Tuesday (Feb. 10, 2009) at Monongalia General Hospital.
She was born in Fairmont on Jan. 17, 1961, the daughter of James "Jim" and Judy Ash Zabolotny of Grant Town.
She was a manager at McDonald's from 1980-1995, working at both East Fairmont and West Fairmont locations.
She also worked at the F.B.I. cafeteria and was manager of the F.B.I. RA Store. She had last worked at Aegis from 1998-2006.
Patricia was a Roman Catholic by faith.
She graduated from Fairview High School in 1979. She participated in basketball and the band.
She enjoyed watching movies with her family, working crossword puzzles, reading mystery novels and cross stitching. Patty especially enjoyed time with family, particularly her daughter Shelby.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband, Roger L. Carr Jr.; her daughter, Shelby Carr of Grant Town; one brother, James "Bo" Zabolotny of Grant Town; two sisters, Sarah Zabolotny of Farmington, and Staci Buchanan and her husband Dave of Lost Creek; nieces and nephews Micah Mileto, Cora Helmick, Prezzley Buchanan, Stormer Buchanan, Natalie Mafield and Adam Mafield; several close aunts, uncles and cousins; and her dog Tanner.
Friends may call at the Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Tim Shuttlesworth officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
