He was a member of Dale Mabry Post No. 139 American Legion, Elks Lodge No. 708, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 912 and the Retired Officers Association. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth; three daughters Julie Tobler, Los Angeles, Rose Sparks, Los Angeles, and Diane Adamson, Napa, Calif.; a sister, Dawn Jean Merkle, LaSalle, Ill.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
