MARION -- Mrs. Marion Patrick "Pat" Buff Ballard, 75, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, in McLeod Hospice House after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at Marion First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Palmetto Memorial Gardens directed by Richardson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ballard was born in Wadesboro, NC, a daughter of the late William and Sara Brower Buff. She was the widow of William Earl Ballard.

She had retired from Heritage Sportswear and was a member of Marion First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her sons, Rev. John M. Ballard of Long Key, FL, and Mark Ballard of Manning, SC; daughter, Cheryl Ann Ballard Lambert of Marion, SC; sister, Pauline Smith of Cheraw; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
