Mrs. Rachael Miller, aged 86 years, a resident of Cordova for the last sixty-two years, died at 5 this morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rose Haak, following two weeks' illness of pneumonia. Mrs. Miller, whose maiden name was Rose Simon, was born in Switzerland on Jan. 26, 1845. and was educated in the schools of St. Louis, Mo. She was married to C. H. Miller in 1864 in St. Louis. He died in 1900. She was a member of the German Lutheran church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Hulda Haines of Albany, Mrs. Rose Haak and Mrs. Lenora Reynolds of Cordova; five sons, George Miller of Rock Island, Homer of Fulton and Julius, Alfred and William Miller of Cordova; Twenty-six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
