William H. Bryan

Tooele - William Henry Bryan, 69, Erda, Tooele county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. June B. Gillette, Erda, Tuesday noon of a heart ailment.

A resident of Erda all his life , he had engaged in farming in Tooele county. He formerly served as bishop of Erda ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served a mission for the church from 1900 to 1903 in Australia.

Mr. Bryan was born April 10, 1877, at Erda, a son of George W. and Margaret Bryan. He married Emily Lindberg Oct. 19, 1904, in the Salt Lake L D S temple.

Survivors include his widow and the following sons and daughters, Farrel L. Bryan, Mrs. June B. Gillett, both of Erda; Arthur W. Bryan and Aron C. Bryan, Tooele; Mrs. Thelma B. Hansen, Mrs. Mary B. Bird and J. Ray Bryan. all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Maggie B. Culley, Magna, and Mrs. Mazel B. Burr, Moab, and the following brothers and sisters, John C., Parley and Fred Bryan and Maggie B. Hale, all of Tooele, and Annie B. Clegg, Erda; George W. Bryan, Ophir, and Ellen B. Snow, Salt Lake City, and 29 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Tooele 1st Ward chapel. Friends may call at Tooele funeral home Thursday evening and at the home of his son, Arthur W. Bryan, 172 W. 1st South, Tooele, from 10 a.m. to time of services Friday. Burial will be in Tooele City cemtery.
