Mary was the daughter of Milton and Emily Tower Garrett. She married Ackley Beman on April 13, 1869 in Delta, Iowa. They were the parents of 5 sons that I am aware of; Charles Edwin, Dwight A., Gordon Ackley, Garfied, and Thomas Milton. After the death of Ackley, she married Frederick E. Burroughs on August 24, 1898. They had no children.
