John Hale was born on August 19, 1726, the son of John Hale (1703-1731) and his wife Elizabeth (Mason) Hale (1707-1794).

He was married to Bethiah Bosworth (1727-1815).

John passed away on April 11, 1810 in Swansea, Massachusetts and was buried in Hale Cemetery in Swansea.
