Alice Geneva Jeffries, 82, of Eldon died Sunday, April 13, 1986, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born June 2, 1903, in Miller County to Fred and Clara Miller Davenport. She was married Aug. 17, 1925 to David M. Jeffries, who died May 12, 1971.
Mrs. Jeffries was a lifetime resident of Miller County and was a member of the Eldon First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving her are three sons, Charles Jeffries and Cecil Jeffries, both of Eldon, and Bill Jeffries of Eugene; two daughters, Rosa Lee Aust of Columbia and Helen Marriott of Franklin, Tex.; a brother, Nelson Davenport of Eureka; a sister, Velma Barnhart of Ellisville; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Eastside Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Buena Alexander and the Rev. Gary Ellsworth officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery near Rocky Mount under the direction of Griswold-Kays Funeral Home.
