"Bo" Harry Griffin passed away after a long and courageous battle with liver cancer on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the age of 57. A native of West Memphis, Arkansas and a resident of Chalmette for 28 years. Beloved husband of Debra Melerine Griffin for a wonderful 27 years. Loving father to Jennifer Griffin Baker (Ray) and Jason Griffin (Shasta). Devoted PaPa to Peyton Baker. Brother of Mary Lou Pirtle (Duane), and Eric Griffin (Robbi). He is preceded in death by his parents Leroy Griffin and Rose Marie Cagle, his brother Donnie "Leroy" Griffin and also his dear grandmother Elsie Valentine. He is survived and greatly loved by many favorite Sisters-In-Law - Dale Pilet, Donna Watson, Sissy Melerine, Kim Melerine, and Veronica Gremillion, favorite Brothers-In-Law – Ronald Melerine, Alan Melerine, Johnny Watson, Teddy Pilet and Robert Leach, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. His amazing stories will be greatly missed by everyone close to him. He dedicated the last several years to the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. He always stood by his beliefs of no one gets left behind, even when it cost him greatly by staying and rescuing so many that needed help.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, August 31st from 6:00PM – 9:00PM.
A memorial service in Bo's memory will begin at 7:00PM.
Burial will be private.

He dedicated the last several years to the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. He always stood by his beliefs of no one gets left behind, even when it cost him greatly by staying and rescuing so many that needed help.
