SUPERIOR - Anna May Curtis, 88, formerly of Alberton, passed away May 1, 2006, at the Mineral Community Hospital Nursing Home in Superior.

Anna May Curtis was born on June 24, 1917, to William and Maybell Sawkins of Florence, Calif. She moved with her family to San Gabriel, Calif., in 1925 where Anna completed high school.

In 1948, Anna moved to American Falls, Idaho, where she met Clinton Eugene "Clint" Curtis. They were married on June 26, 1951, in Butte. Over the next 50 years they lived in Rivulet, Butte, Alberton and Superior.

Anna was predeceased by in death by her husband, Clint

Survivors include her sister and brothers Bill Sawkins and Dorothy Knoblick of Pocatello, Idaho, Tom Sawkins (Mickey) of San Gabriel, Calif., David Sawkins (Sheila) of San Jose, Calif., and William Sawkins (Judy) of Silvis, Ill.; stepchildren Donald (Jean) Curtis of Bountiful, Utah, Jane Curtis of Manhattan and Steven (Lee) Curtis of The Dalles, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at the Alberton Senior Center.

Livingston-Malletta & Geraghty Funeral Home in Missoula is assisting the family with arrangements.
