Carl Bishop Boutwell, 90, of Great Falls, passed away July 16, 2012, at a local nursing facility, of natural causes. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 20th at Hillcrest Lawn Mausoleum, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. with Pastor Terry Turner officiating. Croxford Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Carl was born Dec. 20, 1921, to Will and Katie (Sanders) Boutwell in Sontag, MS. He served in the United States Air Force, where he earned a Purple Heart, and retired in 1965. He was a high ranked mason and Shriner. He married Inez Boutwell in 1960 and she passed Nov. 2011.
He is survived by his daughter Susan (Neil) Boutwell Peavy of Union, MS; stepdaughter Myrna (Louie) Kovich; son Paul L. (Becky) Boutwell of Brandon, MS; stepson Keith Briscoe; two grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
