Burial listed on Historical Society in 1919 but no stone found now. Joseph died of typhoid fever March 24, 1870.

Joseph Smith Bunker was the son of Isaiah Bunker and his first wife Judith "Judy" Smith. Joseph married c1815 Mary Brown (1790 NH-17 July 1855 VT) in Starksboro VT. Mary Brown and Joseph Bunker had at least nine children. After Mary's death, Joseph married Submit Hall Brown, widow of Joshua Nutter Brown of Starksboro.
