Maynard Woman, 33, is Dead of Crash Injuries

Mrs. John F Birdnow, 33, of Maynard, died of severe head injuries she suffered in a one-car accident Wednesday. She never retained consciousness.

Mrs. Birdnow was injured when she lost control of her car at a frosty spot on Highway 150 just west of Maynard. She was thrown out of the car, which traveled 368 feet after leaving the highway.

Four of her small children escaped injury.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Delsing-Wright funeral home in Maynard.

Mrs. birdnow was reared here and was graduated from the Maynard Consolidated school.

She was a member of the United Presbyterian church and active in its young people's work and was a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts.

Surviving besides her husband and five children, Mark, 9; Brad 7; Bryan, 6; Colleen, 4; Julie 2: her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Roquet Sr., Westgate; three brothers, Don Roquet Jr., Victor; George, Cedar Falls, and David, Dubuque; one sister, Mrs. Don Iliff, West Union.
