JOSEPH SCHAFFER, 62, died at Richland Hospital following a three year illness.
Born May 22,1888 in Austria-Hungary, Mr. Schaffer came to America 44 years ago and to Mansfield in 1930. He was a former employe of the Humpyryes Mfg. Company and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
He is survived by a son, John of Mansfield and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna in 1943.
Funeral High Mass will be sung by Msgr. R. C. Goebel at the St. Peter's Church. Burial in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
