OKLAHOMA CITY-- Catherine Jo Brenke Turchi, 80, formerly of Pine Bluff, died January 16, 1998 at Presbyterian Hospital.
Born January 22, 1917, at Pine Bluff, she was a daughter of the late John B. Brenke and Rose Kalkbrenner Brenke.
She was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, where she attended Annunciation Academy and Pine Bluff High School. She had lived in Pine Bluff until 1996, when she moved to Oklahoma City.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, the Buzzing Dozen Club, the Bunco Belles & Merry Mix-Up Club and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nano Jack Turchi, who she married on November 22, 1941, at Pine Bluff; and a sister, Freda Covington.
Survivors include a son, Nano J. Turchi Jr. of Metairie, Louisiana; two daughters, Victoria Lynn Hayes of Cincinnati and Theresa Jo Lander of Oklahoma City; a sister, Margaret Karlovic of Pine Bluff; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Revs. Leo Riedmueller and Andrew Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
A vigil service will be held at 6 p.m. today in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
