Ruby Lee Arterberry, 77 of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at her home in Madill. She was born on March 26, 1935 in Duncan, Oklahoma to the late Roy and Pearl Merritt. Ruby was raised in Comanche, Duncan and the Chickasha, Oklahoma. In the early 50's she moved to Madill where she lived the rest of her life. Ruby married Robert Arterberry on July 14, 1951 in Madill. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1979. She worked at the Madill Pants Factory and also worked as a Medical Provider. Ruby enjoyed cooking, watching TV and visiting at Carry Out Corner.
She is survived by: Son: Freddie Arterberry and wife Marcie, Madill, Ok; Grandchildren: Kelsey and Will Arterberry, Madill, Ok, Calvin Arterberry, Kingston, Ok, Jeran Arterberry, Lone Grove, Ok, Michelle, McGuire, Lone Grove, Ok; 7 Great Grandchildren; Brother: Ricky Merritt, Madill, Ok; Sisters: Pauline Burgess, Madill, Ok, Eveline Posey, Madill, Ok, Louise Brewbaker, Durant, Ok.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; Leon Arterberry, grandson; Ricky Peregrine, sister; Joyce Easley and brother; Tommy Lee Merritt.
