FLOYDADA - Funeral services for Malcolm Jordan "Mac" McNeill, 82, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clark Williams and the Rev. Dr. Tilden B. Armstrong of Paducah officiating. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Graveside rites will be conducted by the Floydada Masonic Lodge No. 712 A.F.&A.M.

Mr. McNeill died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 1996, in Floydada Nursing Home.

He was born Nov. 6, 1913, in Denton County near Lewisville. He moved to Floyd County in 1927 from the Fairview Community.

He was a retired farmer and have been involved in various farm-related organizations including FHA Farm Loan Board, District Water Board, member of the group that established the Caprock Hardware & Cotton, Inc., and was part-owner of both the McCoy Gin and Farmers Elevator. He had been active in the Floydada Rotary Club, was a 50-year member and Past Master of the Floydada Masonic Lodge No. 712; a 50-year member and Past Patron of Floydada Chapter No. 31 O.E.S., a Commandery No. 53 Knights Templar of Texas, and a charter member of Scottish Rite Freemasonary of Lubbock Valley.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he had served on various boards.

He married Flora Day on May 26, 1935 in the McCoy Community.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Allen Moser of Wolfforth; a granddaughter and her husband, Misty and Dr. Ronnie Ford of Dallas; and a great-granddaughter, Jordan Taylor Ford of Dallas.

Four brothers and three sisters are deceased.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Assiter, Donald Bethel, Fred Cardinal, Louis Reid Cardinal, Jim Covington, Kent Covington, Troy McNeill, John Quebe, Bob Simpson, Sam Spence and Jimmy Willson.

The family suggests memorials to the Floydada Chapter 31 O.E.S. 100th Anniversary Fund, care of Roberta Russell, 901 W. Tennessee, Floydada 79235; First United Methodist Church, 203 W. Kentucky, Floydada 79235; or to Hospice of Lubbock, 4314 S. Loop 289, Lubbock 79413.
