"Death of Judge Walter Murray.
Hon. Walter Murray, Judge of the First Judicial District Court, died in San Luis Obispo on Tuesday evening. Yesterday the Court House there was draped in mourning, and flags were at half mast in the town. The members of the Bar held a meeting and passed resolutions of respect to his memory. The funeral will take place to morrow, under Masonic auspices. The Judge was taken ill in the Court-room about a week ago, his disease being gastritis. He was forty-eight years of ago, a native of England, and worked at printing when a boy. He came from Boston to California with Stevenson's Regiment, and has figured creditably in this State as editor, lawyer, legislator and Judge."
