Mrs. Hunt was a member of the First Christian Church in Houston and was a volunteer at the Houston Senior Center for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Hunt; her parents; two sons, Robert Lee and John Reliegh Holifield; two brothers, Glen and Alvin Akers, three sisters, Helen Akers, Bonnie Watson and Thelma Session; one grandson and one great-grandson.
Surviving are four daughters, Marbine Williams of Grants Pass, Ore., Martha Dobbs of Paragould, Ark., Jean Wake of Orange, Calif., and Kathleen Gaither of Houston; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 10 o'clock today (Thursday) at the Pine Lawn Cemetery with Jeff Moore officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
