James Howard Flippo, age 62, of Route 4 Winfield, passed away near his residence Tuesday April 13, 1982. A lifelong resident of Marion Co, the Brilliant Area, He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church, a member and president of UMWA Local 5841, Brilliant. He was a retired Miner and World War II Veteran. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Hazel Galoway Flippo: Three daughters, Mrs. Brenda Pollard and Mrs. Teresa Beasley, both of Brilliant, and Miss. Linda Flippo of Winfield; one granddaughter, Tracy Haley, His mother Mrs Carrie Flippo of Brilliant: Three brothers, Robert Flippo of Fayette Co. AL; Nenneth Flippo of Brilliant; Don Flippo of Guin. Four sisters; Mrs. Vera Lee Pollard of Brilliant, Mrs. Elaine Cotton of Birmingham, AL; Mrs. Romona Vintson of Brilliant. Three Grandsons: Bret Haley; Kevin Beasley; John Beasle,y. Buried in Center Methodist Cemetery.
