He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd L. Davis, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Bishop Davis and Ruby Davis; maternal grandparents, Percy Evans and Mary Evans and niece, Mika Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, at New Covenant Fellowship Church with Pastor Steve Caudle officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery with full military honors.
The body will lie in state from 12-5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, at the funeral home and the family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. at Greater Second Missionary Baptist Church.
