Julian Dvorak, 71, of 65 S. US 14, Cary, Died Sunday, November 6 in McHenry Hospital, McHenry.

Born January 9, 1906 in Fox River Grove, he was the sone of John and Nettie - Mrazek Dvorak. His grandparents were the first permanent settlers in the area.

A former owner and operator of Grove Gravel and Excavating, he was founder of Lake Julian Trout Farm, Cary. He belonged to SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cary.

He was village trustee of Fox River Grove from 1941 - 45 and mayor from 1945 - 57. From 1963 - 74 he was Algonquin Township Highway Commissioner

A charter member of the Fox River Grove Lions Club, he was president in 1947. In addition he was a 33 - year past member of the Fox River Grove Fire Department.

Surviving are his widow, Cora Schwemm Dvorak, who he married in Cary on April 17, 1926; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Miller of Cary, 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers, William and Joseph, both of Fox River Grove; and a sister Tena meyers of Fox River Grove.

Preceeding him in death were his parents; a son, Robert in 1943; 3 brothers, John, George and Louis; and a sister Clara.

The funeral was held Wednesday at 11 am in the Kahle Funeral Home, Cary, with Rev Andrew Plesa officiating. Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Fox River Grove. Friends called in the Funeral home Tuesday where Roasary was recited at 8 pm.
