He was the son of Sion and Priscilla Kendrick (Thornton) Hunt.
He married Narcissus Frances Robinson. Their children were: Thomas W., Albert, Andrew Jackson, Charles F., Elizabeth, Mary A., Ida C., Leila, Annie and Ethel Hunt.
(Note: The tombstone shows a "b" in his name but the Sion Hunt Bible shows the name as Crumley.)

D. C. Hunt, who states birth as 12/14/1844 in Elbert Co., GA, has a CSA pension application on line under Hart County in the GA ARchives. He says he enlisted in March 1862 in Morgan Co. GA and served with Company K of the 2nd GA State Troops until his unit surrendered. He surrendered in Augusta, GA in 1865. He said he needed a pension because of near blindness and poverty.
