Louis H. Harvison of Buck Hill Falls, considered an expert in design and construction of oil refineries, died Monday in Monroe County General Hospital, East Stroudsburg. He was 76 Born In Trevose, Bucks County, he was a son of the late Robert B.and Martha (Tomlinson) Harvison. When he retired 15 years ago. he was executive vice president of the M. W. Kellogg Co., build ers of industrial plants and equipment.

He worked for the company for 40 years. He was credited with leading the firm into the development of design and construction of advanced oil equipment. He developed and sold for the company the "Fleming cracking process" and "original thermo- cracking process" which later superceded catalytic cracking. The Kellogg company is a wholly owned subsidery of Pullman, Inc. He was a member of the Mountainhome Methodist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Helen S., two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Tracy of Wilmington, Del., and Mrs. Stewart Spaulding, Hamilton, Mass.; a sister Mrs. Florence Bennet, Madison, Wis:, and three grandchildren.
