Son of John Barker and Mary Osborne. His parents were not married until 1791, so conflicting dates of parents birth years, as is his.

I believe he was born year of marriage. Most family trees have his birth date as I listed, but as their child. If parents birth dates are as all in family seem to have, then Dad was 16 and Mom was 17 at time of his birth and unmarried.

Jesse C. Barker (dates as they listed) born: Anderson County, South Carolina, died: Minden, Rusk, Texas. One marriage to Eliza Dunbar 4 known children.

Reuben Barker (dates as they listed) born: Anderson County, South Carolina, died: Robertson County, Texas. One marriage to Martha McCauley Barker, they had 8 known children. My G-G grandparents were buried on their land, wooden makers with information long gone.

Dr. William Oliver Barker, Jr. (dates as they listed) born: Anderson County, South Carolina, died: Bethlehem, Upshur, Texas. One marriage to Julia A. "Juda" Crain. 5 known children with one son becoming a Doctor as well.

Stephen Decatur Barker, Sr. (dates as they listed) born: Anderson County, South Carolina, died: Guntown, Lee, Mississippi. Two marriage, 1st Unknown, a son born to them. 2nd Elizabeth Peel and son Jr. born to them

Narcissa Barker 1822-1854 Born: Anderson County, South Carolina, died: near Jacobia, Hunt, Texas. One marriage to George Washington Dunbar. 7 known children. George died in a farm accident in 1853 and she died from Epidemic going around the next year. Family (siblings) took in the children ranging from 12 to 1 year old to raise.
