Lagretta was the daughter of Anson L. and Agnes J. Bredbenner. She died at the home of her parents, after an illness of one week of diphtheria. Her parents, brothers Oris, Albert, Edgar, Harvey, and sisters Agnes and Florence survived her.

Four brothers were the bearers at the funeral of Lugretta M. Bredbenner, which took place from the residence of her parents, 318 West Greenwich Street, at 8 a.m. The services were conducted at the house by Rev. H. W. Warmkessel. The pall bearers were: Oris, Albert, Edgar, and Harvey Bredbenner. Interment was made in the Charles Evans Cemetery. Funeral director Auman.
