Joseph J. Brewer, of Bethany, OK, died Mon., Dec. 17, 2007. Joe was born 9-7-23 in Haileyville, OK and married Helen Wells in September of 1956 in OKC. Joe served in the Army Air Corp. before earning a B.S. degree from OSU. Joe was employed by IBM as an electrical engineer from 1950 until his retirement in 1985. He was an elder and served as treasurer of Western Oaks Christian Church for many years. Joe and Helen enjoyed square dancing in the OKC area for 25 years. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Helen Brewer; children, Don and wife Kimberly Brewer of OKC, Steve and wife Donna Brewer of Wichita Falls, TX, Karen and husband David Bagwell of Tulsa, OK; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and 4 step- great-grandchildren. Survivors also include sister, Kitty Flusche and husband Leon of Haysville, KS; sister, Joy Zardas and husband Steve of Churchville, MD; brother, Ken Brewer and wife Colleen of Arlington, TX; and many close friends. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 20, 2007, at Guardian Funeral Home West Chapel, with burial to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
