Services for Harold D. Allison, 79, of 2511 34th St., Moline, are 10 a.m. Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estates, Moline. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to Disabled Veterans.

Mr. Allison died Thursday, June 18, 1998, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.

He was born Feb. 28, 1919, in Coal Valley, the son of Joseph and Goldie Hunter Allison. He married Phoebe Rose Stickel July 5, 1947, in Moline.

He was a truck driver for Signal Delivery for 33 years, retiring in 1979. He served in the Navy during WWII and was stationed on the USS Nevada in Pearl Harbor during the 1941 attack. He enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include his wife; daughters and sons-in-law, Victoria Ann and Randy Schmitz, Battle Creek, Mich., Christine Lindell, East Moline, and Sandra and
Ron Rennick, Moline; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Christy Allison and William and JoAnn Wilson, all of East Moline; brothers, "Al'' Allison and Joseph Allison, both of Rock Island; grandchildren, Brad and Tara Schmitz,
Brandy, Billy, Britney, Kiely and Mitchell Allison, Allison and Austin Rennick and Meghan and Marissa Lindell; and great-grandchildren, Boston Kinney and Ryan Hall. "Papa'' was deeply loved by his large family and will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded by a brother, Ora Allison, and sisters, Thyrl Shadle and Juanita Diedrich.
