From the Belleville News Democrat, page B-3, dated August 22, 2012. nis Lorene Gann, 89, of Granite City, Ill., born on July 15, 1923, in Eminence, Mo., passed away on Friday, Aug.
17, 2012, at Edwardsville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Inis was the director of Happy Day Child Care Center at 1st Assembly of God in Granite City, Ill. She was a
member of 1st Assembly of God Church, where she was the last of the charter members. In her spare time she
enjoyed directing the Saints Alive Senior Choir at church; loved to sew, play the piano and organ and was a still life artist,
painting woodland scenes and anything that was in nature.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Gann of Granite City, Ill.; grandchildren, Garrin Bryce Gann of Granite City, Ill., and Jena
LeeAnn (Jeremy) Walter of Eldred, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Victoria Gann of Granite City, Ill., Noah, Riley and Logan Walter, all
of Eldred, Pa.; special niece, Marilyn Jones; and several other special friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Hershel Gann; her parents, Dolphus M. and Ada B., neeFaulkenberry,
Bolton; son, Gerald "Jerry" Gann; sisters, Wilma Bolton and Nola Heiney; brothers, Vern Bolton, Pete Bolton and Harley Bolton.
Memorials are suggested to 1st Assembly of God.
Visitation: In celebration of her life a memorial gathering will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at 1st
Assembly of God, 2317 Madison Ave. in Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: Service to begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at the church with the Rev. C. Dale Edwards and the Rev. Richard
Smallie officiating.
