THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, March 5, 1999, page 4B: ‘Herbert M. Adams, 75, of Blossom died Thursday, March 4, 1999, at his home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Miller officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence.

He was born July 2, 1923, in Quinlan to Luther T. and Annie Belle Horton Adams. He served his country in the Army during World War II in the 188th Paratrooper Division. He married Mary Shirley July 28, 1951, in Dallas. He was a truck driver and member of First Baptist Church in Blossom.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; sons, Geary Adams and wife Sonya of Paris, Bobby Adams and wife Kim of Plano; daughters, Betty Hildreth and husband Lynn of Gladewater, Mary Klein and husband Dick of Whitehouse, and Susie Morris and husband Gary of Mesquite; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Billy Adams of Ben Wheeler and Donald Adams of Grand Prairie; sisters, Wanda Hillhouse of Athens and Faye MacAnally of Indian Springs, Nev. He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Adams.
