Charles Emerson Koser, RD1, Shippensburg, retired farmer, died yesterday afternoon in the Carlisle Hospital. He was 82 years old.
Mr Koser was born in Southampton Township, Cumberland County, a son of the late Joseph and Mary R Mathna Heberlig Koser and was a member of the Barnitz Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Mary Kean, Daytona Beach, Fla., and Mrs Pauline Karper, Shippensburg; two sons, Roy, RD2 Shippensburg, and Guy, RD1 Shippensburg; three sisters, Mrs Mae Whisler, Newburg, Mrs Grace Kitzmiller, Shippensburg, and Mrs Raymond Watson, Middlesex; a brother, John Koser, Shippensburg, 26 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the M. Garfield Barbour and Son Funeral Home, 143 East King Street, Shippensburg, Rev Jacob Zepp will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
