Betty Jane Dickmann, age 88 of Grafton passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 14, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born on June 17, 1924 in Grafton to the late Frank and Esther (Kreutzer) Paulin. On February 6, 1950 she married Orville L. Dickmann at St. Paul Lutheran in Grafton. They enjoyed 45 years of marriage until Orville's death in 1995.

Betty took great pride in her family and in her home. She was a long-time employee of Richard J. Goldberg Company, and a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was also active with the Rose Harms Legion Auxiliary and the Women's Guild of St. Paul Lutheran. She had a special affection for the children in the Pre-K program at St. Paul's where she was a teacher's aid for many years.

Betty is survived by her loving children, Jane (Mark) Savides of Appleton, Paul (Toni) Dickmann of Grafton, and Lisa (Mark) Podewils of Germantown, her grandchildren David (Angela) Savides of Appleton, Michael Savides of Appleton, Nicole Savides (fiancé Matthew Reif) of Madison, Brian Dickmann of Green Bay, Eric Dickmann of Grafton, Audrey Dickmann of Grafton, Sarah Podewils of Wauwatosa and Becky Podewils of Milwaukee. Betty held a special place in her heart for her two great-grandsons, Tate and Arthur Savides. In addition, Betty is survived by her brother, LeRoy (Marceline) Paulin of Grafton and her brother-in-law Jake (Marie) Dickmann of Lakewood. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and an infant son, David.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 – 6:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Grafton. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 3:00 PM – 5:45 PM. Interment St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Betty's family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Thomas Shewczyk, Dr. Allan Torkelson, Dr. Ranveer Nand, the staffs from Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee Campus, Highlands at Newcastle in Mequon, and the nurses and caregivers from Vitas Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. Paul Lutheran or The American Cancer Society.
