Ann was my step-grandmother if there is such a person. Grandmothers are always grandmothers; that's why they are "GRAND" mothers and Ann was one of the grandest. Always there, always loving, always caring just like a grandmother. Ann had other grandchildren and I'm sure that they would say the same thing, however my brother and I were the fortunate ones because we were able to spend more time with her than the others. You see we lived close by and were able to drive over to her house in about an hour. The other grandchildren lived far away and were unable to spend the amount of time with her that my brother and I did. Ann died when I was a young adult but I was blessed with about twenty years of her love. Life is short but the memory of a grandmother will live for eternity.
