She was born in Blackford County to the late Harmon and Bessie Olive (Havens) Rains and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1938. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Delma Roy Quillen, and her third husband, C. Joe Rogers.
Mrs. Rogers had owned and operated and cooked at various restaurants in Blackford County, including the Point Restaurant, Hoosier House and the Hideaway, all in Montpelier, and the Scotch Mist, Hartford City. She will be remembered for her cooking abilities and her excellent pie baking.
She attended St. John's Catholic Church, Hartford City.
Surviving are daughter, Patricia (James) Trant, Montpelier; brothers-in-law, Paul and Junior Quillen, both of Hartford City; and sisters-in-law, Esther Knox and Ethel Holt, both of Hartford City.
She also was preceded in death by sisters, Mable Dawson, Marie Futrell and Elsie McDirmit; and brothers, Leonard Rains and Harry Lewis Rains.
Services are at 10 a.m. Monday in Glancy Funeral Home, Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., with Pastor Darren Williams officiating. Burial is in Twin Hill Cemetery, Pennville.
Visitation is from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
