Virgil N. "Doc" HIgh was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. High. Doc and his wife were living in the same house where he was born at 401 S. Oak. They were married on 23 September 1926 in Seymour. "Doc" had lived in Baylor County all his life. He was a retired painter and paper hanger and was known by almost everyone in the county. His good humor and easygoing ways will be remembered long after his passing. He was a member of the Church of Christ, having been baptized at Cache Creek in 1917. He was very faithful in attendance at Worship. He was laid to rest beside his baby daughter who died in infancy. Survived by his wife; one sister - Lola Harvey; two brothers - Ottice and Homer High.
